Our Story

Jonah and Jessica (aka Jonessica) met their first day of undergrad at the University of Minnesota way back in the fall of 1999. It was love at first sight for Jonah, but Jessica played hard to get ... for a whole decade.

It wasn't until Jonah moved back to Minneapolis in 2009 that Jessica changed her mind.  After dating for about a year, Jessica challenged Jonah to build her first road bicycle for her.  She proposed the two-year anniversary of their first date as a deadline for the completed bicycle.  That day came and went with the project being barely started.  However, another year later, unbeknownst to Jessica, the bicycle had been completed.

Jonah suprised Jessica with the completed bicycle, but there was a bigger suprise in store.  Jonah was showing Jessica all of the features of her new bike, of which included a serial number stamped into a brass plate, brazed to the frame.  The serial number read "MARRY ME."  Jonah had also handmade a matched set of his and her wedding rings out of silver.  Jessica accepted the bike and ring and said yes!
